Have you ever turned around and thought you saw something, but it turned out to be a tree stump or some other random object?Well this would happen to me often as an avid hiker, so I'm used to it, but this time was distinctly different.
This was 4 or 5 years ago and it just popped back into my head, I still remember it so vividly and I know exactly where it took place.
This was on the Sulphur Springs Trail in Natural Bridge, Virginia.
I've hiked it many times and this was a typical sunny day.
I was turning a corner, and I had one of those moments where I thought I saw something, but this still gives me the chills today because this time it was different.
I looked to the right because I thought someone snuck up on me and was trying to pass me.
Except there wasn't a hiker there, the trail isn't that popular anyway.
Instead, I vividly saw someone about 5' away wearing a very old military uniform and holding an old rifle.
Instead of seeing it disappear instantly and finding a tree stump in its place, it lingered just a fraction of a second longer and there was no possible object in its place that would've fooled my vision.
This was towards the beginning of the hike, which is very easy, so I wasn't tired at all.
Everything was well lit, I never thought about paranormal stuff as it's not interesting to me and I don't believe in the supernatural.
Not really sure what to think of it, I have never done drugs and even barely touched alcohol.
