Me and a buddy of mine were standing around a fire at 1:30 a.m. Saturday night enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having here in south central Pennsylvania.I had to retrieve something from my garage, and when I looked over to the West and saw an aspirin sized yellow/orange colored object low in the sky.
I got out my smart phone and opened up the Google Sky map app to see if it was a rising planet or something.
According to the Sky map app there wasn't anything there but a few minor stars.
I decided to go get my binoculars and check it out.
I rested the binoculars on a tree branch so the image was steady.
When looking at the object I was amazed by what I was seeing.
It was a beautiful pale white color, almost the same color as the Moon itself.
Inside of the glow was a defined, perfectly round sphere with sort of a patterned or textured surface.
Even though it was a few miles away I could still see the textured surface.
After hovering about 6 minutes, the object slowly descended below a tree line and was gone.
