We Saw Them So Many Times We Got Used To Them

Date: February 15, 1964

Location: Oscoda, MI

I was stationed as a security officer at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, which is a SAC installation.

Let me explain this was not one sighting, but many, all at night, except one, which I will use another form to explain.

I was guarding a Alert Ready B-52 with 2 H bombs in its bay.

We regularly looked up into the night sky because it was very dark and we were able to view many stars.

The object we often seen, was a round object about 2,000' over the aircraft, it was very bright and appeared to hover for about 5 minutes they it took off what seemed like the speed of light, one minute it was there and the next it was gone.

We never reported these because we felt that they would think we were making them up.

However, they were aware of the objects because one time they sent 2 F-104 jet fighters after them.

Guess it didn't help because they kept coming back.
