Tulane University Associate Professor of Political Science & United States Air Force Reserve lieutenant colonel John E. Kieffer of 12th Air Force, Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX, was lying on his back at the beach when he sighted a bright, shiny silver flat spherical object in the eastnortheast headed westsouthwest towards him, joined by 5 smaller similar objects grouped around the larger object which made a large circle over New Orleans Airport, back then called Moisant Field.
Then made a rotation around its horizontal axis and disappeared at 45º to 50º elevation initially. No sound or visible means of propulsion.
