Disk Over Newman Lake

Disk Over Newman Lake

Date: July 15, 1950

Location: Newman Lake, WA

Newman Lake is about 25 to 30 miles East of Spokane, WA.

One evening our family was listening to the radio after dinner, the announcer in Spokane, said that someone had called in to report a large object in the sky toward the Idaho State Line and it looked like a spacecraft.

Being a teenager then, I ran outside to check it out.

I was amazed at what I saw.

Sitting there above the hilltops to the South sat a huge spaceship just hovering over the hills.

The size was immense.

It wasn't just one hill it hovered over, it was several.

Shaped kind of of like a saucer, the middle rotated around with lights, but really huge.

Below that were about 3 or 4 separate rectangular lights rotating the other direction, these were of light orange color.

As much as I can remember now is that there were blue light orange & green.

At the bottom of them were much smaller green lights that also rotated.

As I stood watching I felt very uneasy sensation and ran as fast as I could indoors.

A while later my curiosity got the better of me and I again went outside to watch the craft.

Again I got very uneasy and felt like they, whatever they were watching me.

Again I ran inside.

The third time I went outside I watched as the ship took off without a sound and was gone in a flash.

The other family members that went outside and saw the craft have passed away, but I still can see it in my mind's eye today.

I don't remember the exact year and my time frame is probably within a few years of the exact date.

From that day on to this day I know what I saw and it gave me a very different view about life.

I've developed my own beliefs as most people are in denial that aliens exist.

I don't know how to get the precise broadcast that we heard the announcement on, but I often thought that it would be kept as the recording somewhere.

At that time it was local stations playing music.
