Guillermo del Toro UFO Sighting

Guillermo del Toro UFO Sighting

Date: November - 1996

Location: Bindura, Mexico

Film director Guillermo del Toro once saw a crappy but terrifying unidentified flying object, UFO while gazing at the stars in his native Mexico. From hearing ghosts to UFO sightings, del Toro has seen it all.

After his first encounter with a UFO, del Toro remembers being struck with fear.

He said the UFO went as far as 3,000' away, but it had happened so fast, said Del Toro.

Speaking in an interview series at a California film school in November, The Shape of Water moviemaker described being scared after seeing the UFO when he was younger.

You sound like a complete lunatic, but I saw a UFO. I didn't want to see a UFO. It was horribly designed, he said.

Explaining that he had the unexpected encounter while hanging out with a friend in the Mexican mountains.

We sat down to watch the stars and have the beer and talk. We were the only guys by the freeway. And we saw a light on the horizon going super fast, not linear like.

And I said:

Honk and flash the lights.

And we started honking, the then 53 year old auteur said.

Guillermo del Toro claims he's a Creature Evangelist.

And it went from there to here, like 3,000 yards away, in less than a second, and it was so crappy, Guillermo added.

It was a flying saucer. So clichéd, with lights going like this. It's so sad. I wish I could reveal they're not what you think they are. They are what you think they are.

And the fear we felt was so primal.

Del Toro said he hopped into the car and started driving quickly. When he looked back, he noticed the UFO was following them, but when he glanced back again, it was gone.

Guillermo added that he has never been that scared in my life.

Of course, Del Toro is not the only person who claims to have seen a UFO, and other sources are particularly credible. The Pentagon revealed that it had investigated the existence of such objects and alien life from 2007 to 2012 through a super secret office called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.

The revelations came complete with what some believe is clear footage of a rotating alien object captured on film by Navy pilots a decade ago.

The former head of the investigation, Luis Elizondo, told a British newspaper that the presence of UFOs had been proven beyond reasonable doubt.

In the same story, del Toro, who is known for his dark fantasy films, told students he has also seen 2 ghosts. In one instance, he was scouting locations in New Zealand for The Hobbit and said he was kept awake all night by screaming and crying from ghosts inside his hotel, which was considered haunted.
