Light Next To My B-17

Date: June 8, 1943

Location: French Airspace

There were lights on the object.

There was an aura or haze around the object.

There were aircraft in the vicinity or aircraft chasing the object,

There were electrical or magnetic effects light next to my b-17

I was a left waist gunner on a B-17. over France we saw a light.

The altimeter went crazy and kept going from sea level to 10,000', even though we were flying higher, but none of the other instruments faild or so the pilot said.

It stayed with us for about 5 minutes, we wanted to shoot it but the pilot said if it was hostile it would have killed us by now.

The engineer thought it was a German secret weapon.
