Yellowish Orb Over Deactivated Nuclear Plant
In a rural area, thickly wooded part of Minnesota, near the decommissioned Elk River Power Plant, the nuclear reactor was small and only operated from 1964 until 1968 before undergoing decommissioning, and dismantlement in the following years, ending in the early 1970s.
A yellowish orb came down to the tops of maple trees outside my window. It was silent. The orb was maybe 3' in diameter. It was approximately 30' off of the ground. It floated there a moment, and then blinded me with bright light.
I remember watching Leno on TV just prior on an old 13’’ black and white TV.
