Gold, Yellow, Orange Sphere

Gold, Yellow, Orange Sphere

Date: January 1, 1968

Location: Cameron Parish, LA

My wife and I crossed the Calcasieu River at Township of Cameron, LA, on the ferry boat.

We were in route to Port Arthur, TX, at about 10:00 p.m. to 10:30 pm. The highway follows the river for about 2 miles south toward the Gulf of Mexico, then turns west towards Texas. Along this part of highway 82 it runs along side the Gulf of Mexico and for 11 miles no one lives not one house.

Holley Beach is the first place with people that you reach its a small summer beach resort. Its winter time clear and cold wind fron the North at about 15 to 20 mph, moon has the country side lit up.

When we turned West over the water on the edge of the beach was this round gold/yellow what ever following the same route as we were, I increased my speed it did the same I slowed down it did also. About this time my Wife ask me what that was. I told her that I didn't know, It was larger than our car, I couldn't tell how big it was because I had nothing to compare it to.

When we got to Holley Beach I stopped, It made a right angle to the South and went out of sight out over the Gulf of Mexico.

We went on to Port Arthur, normally about a 1 hour trip, we got helt up at the draw bridge at Port Arthur for seems like 30 to 45 minutes, we lived about 10 minutes from the bridge, when we got in the house I looked at the clock it was 4:30 a.m.

Didn't think much about it then just kinda of confused, why a normal 1½ hour trip 6 hours. To this day I don't know what we saw.
